John and Gillie have been our patrons since 2007 and never miss an opportunity to promote the charity.John was founder member and the bedrock of ‘Status Quo’, playing on drums with the group from 1962 – 1981. He now plays with his own band, ‘John Coghlan’s Quo’, and with the King Earl Boogie Band. In March 2013 for the first time in over three decades, vocalist/guitarists Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, bassist/vocalist Alan Lancaster and drummer John take the stage together to play six UK dates.
John and Gillie have had westies for many years. Their first westie was Ben, followed by Ellie, and currently the delightful ‘Betsey Boo’, a bright, lovable little girl, adopted from Westie ReHoming
